Scenic Old Tree

An old tree at The Briars Mount Martha.
In the summer light, it seems to offer a mysterious beauty.

The Briars at Mount Martha is a place of surprises.
Wetlands, bushwalking, an old homestead, a camp for youngsters and a nursery are some of the features.

Perhaps I'm lifeless
But look closely at my boughs
They hold my secrets

Beautiful, old tree. A perfect place for birds to land and nest.

I like tree "skeltons" ...the graceful bare bones of dead trees, or even leafless ones in the winter. But I've never been able to articulate why I like them. And you just told me! Thank you.

I love old trees. I would not have been passing by this one either. Nice shot.

You are right about my shot. It is the robe that soes it. :)
