D is for Dromana...
(Continuing my series on the Mornington Peninsula)
Dromana is on Port Phillip Bay is a world of many colours.
Best known for its endless line of boat sheds leading to the ridged headland of Anthony's Nose (in the background of this photo!) and its clean beach.
Even on grey days, this world is beautiful.
There's a winding track close by which is loved by walkers and bike riders.
The track extends from Safety Beach, through Dromana, and, for walkers, continues through McCrae and Rosebud.
Dromana pier is popular with fishermen
The pier is also popular with boat watchers - no matter how big or small the boats may be.
Above Dromana towers Arthurs Seat mountain with spectacular views of the nearby coastline.
In the cooler months, low cloud or mist descends from Arthurs Seat.
In the foreground, the bridge represents the freeway linking Dromana with Melbourne.
The distance is about 58km.
A smiling village
Home to those who love the sea
And the beach lifestyle
The shopping centre features this area! So cute!

that's a beautiful world indeed!with a beautiful view of the sea, what more can one ask for.
Dromana looks like a peaceful world.
Gemma, beautiful pictures. There is something heartwarming about seeing folks who are proud of where they live. The brightly colored cottages remind me of Bermuda, where all the houses are named... "Palm Settee," "Dove House..." Took me back to the sea, always welcome!
