Been Here Before

A little mosaic pathway that welcomes to a special little shop in the Tyabb Art and Craft Village.
The shop is called Been Here Before and offers a beautiful range of handcrafted mosaics, garden features and recycled furniture.
You may even join classes here!

Outside is a world of amazing artwork set in a garden!

My favourite is this whimsical sculpture!

But I also love the concept of a pot within a pot!

It is a like a fantasy world of enchanting ideas!

Thank you Roz for showing me round your magical corner of the village!

Yellowed Rocks

Rocks at Fisherman's Beach, just south of Mornington on Port Phillip Bay.
They are strangely yellowed.
High content of sandstone becomes intensely yellow when constantly impacted by water?

Where fishermen love to play

I Saw Mother Nature's Home

Shadowy corner of an old house at Tyabb near the Art and Craft Village.
Mother Nature seems to be working on taking possession.
The roof is a bed of leaves and twigs.

And here is the house!
The shadowy corner is tucked away on the right hand side.

And right next door is this house.
Mother Nature seems to be the owner right now.
She has claimed possession of the roof!

Nature's real estate
Nature's shadowy ventures
Nature's final claim

A Gentle Dentist?

This sign at Rosebud has always amused me!
I must admit, I have never checked out the truth of the matter!

Art of dentistry
Rarely appreciated
Rarely meets a poem

P.S. In response to a few comments about the wording of the sign:
In British English, to cater for a group of people means to provide all the things that they need or want. In American English, you say you cater to a person or group of people... -
In British English, to cater for something means to take it into account. In American English, you say you cater to something...
And Australia uses British English.
So the sign is worded correctly here.

Jetty Cafe

Jetty Cafe is right by Rosebud beach.
In recent days the owners have added this Hawaiian style outdoor dining area.
The cafe is very popular with bikie groups for some reason.
Often, at weekends, there is a huge lineup of bikes parked outside.

Summer Visitor

Over the Christmas period of the summer season, a Mum seal and pup stayed awhile near Dromana beach.
A sign on the rocky steps leading to the beach here warned the curious to stay away and give them space.
I was able to take this photo from the beach wall of the baby playing in the waters of Port Phillip Bay.

Small wild character
Enjoying the sea and sands
Before new journeys

Without a Paddle

Just offshore from Rosebud beach was this man paddling his little boat to shore.
He pulled it on the sands, sat on the sands and simply watched it...

Bringing the boat home
Just a tiny precious craft
Many memories

Quiet Connection

This past week, in the late afternoon summer shadows, I saw a young couple quietly walking through Dromana Hub carpark to the beach just across the road.
I loved the quiet connection between them.
So simple.
So beautiful.

Never walk alone
May New Year be a calm path
Sharing connectons
