The Echidna Route is a self-drive scenic tourist route which starts at the Dromana Information Centre on the Nepean Highway by Dromana beach.
It explores the rural hinterland around Red Hill.
A guiding pamphlet is available from the information centre.

I'm all for the scenic drive routes. That is certainly an interesting-looking critter on the sign; sort of like a combination porcupine and anteater.

I thought at first that this was a route for viewing echidnas! but I suspect not :)
I'm probably related to that animal!
These are the kind of vacations I like.
I would love to go there someday. Great capture of the sign.
