London Bridge

This is a peek through a natural, rocky archway known as London Bridge.
(N.B. There used to be a London Bridge rock formation on the Great Ocean Road too!)
It is on the Westernport Bay side of the peninsula behind Portsea, close to the wild waters of Bass Strait.
The weathered bridge provides wonderful views of the crashing waves beyond.

Rocky ragged frame
Finely shaping crashing waves
Nature's cameo

A view of the archway from the top of a sandhill.

I love these kinds of rocks formations. Your closeup photos with the view of the water are great and it is wonderful to see the view from a distance. Wonderful photos, have a great day!

I love the rock formations along the coast. Great Ocean Road was a trip of a lifetime for me. I got to see that London Bridge before it collapsed. Beautiful shots!

What a fabulous place, Gemma. I love it. The photos are all great, but I like the second one best, I think.

The second photo is nicely framed. At first I thought its the real London Bridge.

We have the London Bridge here in Lake Havasu, Arizona transported piece by piece many few years ago.

I remember well the large London Bridge near Beachport. Isn't it wonderful what water can achieve?

Reminded me of the old nursery rhyme 'London Bridge is falling down' - doesn't look like yours is about to anytime soon, nice rock formation.

As Ebie said, the real London Bridge was transported to Lake Havasu, so they have our old one and we have a new one..!!
