Crazy World?
At first, this image taken in Rosebud doesn't seem so crazy.
But when the details are put together, then it does seem so.
It is Spring - hence all the Spring flowers - but there's no sun.
It is raining - light rain has been falling all morning (and will be all this week again), but this guy strolls along without an umbrella.
It is slightly cool with a touch of mugginess - so the man wears a red hooded jacket in case of more chills?
It's Saturday morning - and the highway near him has hardly any traffic. Usually vehicles on a weekend are bumper to bumper at this time of year - weekend getaways, campers preparing for the Christmas holiday season and, of course, the locals.
Disjointed Springtime
Strange muddle of clothing styles
Nature has problems

Himalyan Journey
Himalayan Journey is a fascinating little shop just off Main Street, Mornington on Port Phillip Bay.
Imports of Himalayan products - mainly felt - are a feature.
Sales support the poor Nepalese women and give them an income.
The shop also supports the Shouangchou Village school in Tibet.
Felts, silks and candles
Bright Himalayan wonders

Rosella in the Blossoms
Rosellas are loving either the apple or pear blossoms in our Dromana Spring garden.
In fact, I am sure we get far more rosella visitors than usual at the moment!

Kitchen Scarecrow
It's Scarecrow Festival time on the Mornington Peninsula.
Each October, the hinterland parades a range of crazy features outside the hinterland properties.
This entry is outside an artist's cottage at Red Hill.

Atrium Interior
An interior view of the Atrium near the Safety Beach golf course.
This area is open with a skylight above. It is often used for Sunday afternoon musical performances.
Round the sides are entrances to public and private function dining areas.

Boatsheds at Blairgowrie
Boatsheds on the Mornington Peninsula are often creatively coloured.
(Some - especially at St Kilda and Brighton, north of the peninsula but still on Port Phillip Bay - used to be bathing boxes in the early 20th century!)
Here is a selection at Blairgowrie on the southern end of the peninsula
Bright sailing colours
Strong peninsula landmarks
Cute happy features

Climbing to Arthurs Seat National Park
The walk from the open spaces of Hillview Community Reserve up into Arthurs Seat National Park is quite steep.
But all ages attempt it.
And it's good to stop and turn around around to admire glimpses of Port Phillip Bay.
On the way up, a dam makes a great resting point.
