sign outside the new garden shop at Heronswood, Dromana...
Heronswood is a Gothic revival style homestead (designed 1866 and completed 1871) that had a cottage restaurant nearby
- sadly burnt down in 2014.
The restaurant was called Fork to Fork...
I posted views of it HERE...
I posted a late winter view of the homestead HERE...
Now, a wall from the restaurant features as part of the entrance to the garden shop...
a large memory
a little bit of folly

A very interesting entrance design Gemma
...until recently the term folly was foreign to me.
The original 'Fork to Fork,' was such a super building Gemma, what a shame it was lost to fire. I do love the name 'Garden Folly' too though, hopefully it will be around for a long time.
I like that!
It makes a great entrance now, tho too bad about the fire. I always think it would be nice to own a folly!
Great entrance indeed.
