Soft Summer Morning

I love to photograph a summer beach area before the crowds wander there.
This is Dromana beach near the pier.

The light is gentle
The air is warm but not hot
Ripples are quiet

Australia Day Fun Run

Australia Day is not far away.
This fun run has become a feature of Australia Day activities on the Mornington Peninsula since 2007 (I think!)
The course follows a flat section of the foreshore round Port Phillip Bay, so there are great water views along the way!
The longer course aims for the serious runners, while the shorter one attracts walkers - children and even Mums with babies in strollers.

Secret Waters

A small water world at a Red Hill property.
The boat on the side has been there for many years.

Mount Martha Beach Views

A view of Mount Martha beach on Port Phillip Bay.
Only since New Year in my world have we felt the heat of summer.
(These photos were taken at about 10am - before the crowds.)

A brush of white cloud
Silken sands and bluest seas
Perfect summer day

Dunroman

On my Greyscale Territory blog, a couple of weeks ago, I posted about a boatshed at Rosebud called Dunroven.
Now, at Red Hill, here is a sign outside a home called Dunroman.
Could there be a link?

I'm Off!

Sulphur-crested cockatoos are beginning to wander closer to my world because the apples are just beginning to ripen.
Cockatoos love apples! A few chomps and they dump them!
Above is the flag pole near my verandah that they use for "spying"!
