Our Winter days have been riddled with rain, but at the first sign of sun, in spite of icy winds, I was out.
That was yesterday.
I have not visited the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens for more than a year.
(They are officially known as the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.)
It was time to return.
The gardens are a showcase of features in the Australian environment.
(And still evolving! The gardens only opened to the public in 1989!)
Near the entrance is this view of the Red Sands Garden, representing views of Central Australia.
World of a garden
The spirit of life is here
Inhale the wonder
Here is another view.
The above two photos show perspectives the ephemeral lakes sculpture in the Red Sands Garden.
The gardens aim to capture the spirit of all that is Australia.
