Summer means camping season.
Tents flood right along the Dromana to McCrae to Rosebud to Rye to Blairgowrie to Sorrento foreshore of Port Phillip Bay.
It's wall to wall tents, congested roads and bulging shopping centres.
I can't say I enjoy the invasion, but I do dare to wander tent city, at least once, to see how how the community
Open air canopies fringe tents and and caravans.
Australian flags of all sizes fly everywhere!
(Australia Day is this weekend on 26th January!)
In the photo above, those dangly bits are some Christmas lights still hanging around!
And notice the tent over the tent! There were a few examples of this!
Portable power grids appeared this year!
And then the ultimate - a bird feeder!

It is neat seeing all the different camp sites. The power grids are a new thing I am sure. We use to have the bare minimum while camping. Great shots, thanks for sharing.
Ah, these brought back memories of when our family lived in Montana and we would go camping with our four children and we had SO much fun!! Fun shots for the day, Gemma! Have a great week!
Bit cramped isn't it? Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Those tents look a bit too close together for comfort!
I just don't get it. Camping in such cramped quarters. Give me a wilderness site any day! Interesting captures.
Lots of campers in Yamba but starting to thin out a bit now.
Thanks for the info on the cost of bathing sheds, wow they cost alot!
