Rose Questions

Nothing especially odd about a a bunch of fading red roses.

But look where they are!
In the lower part of the image is a small wooden verandah in front of a boat shed at Dromana beach.
The bunch of roses - complete with wrapper - has been inserted into one of the pipes at the end of the verandah.
Is there a story?

Hi Gemma .... I'm sure there's a story ... How sad to think they were stuck in a drain-pipe ..... Red roses should be displayed in a sparkling crystal vase ... treasured and loved.

I would rather be optimistic and think of a lover's gift !

Roses are a good ruby - grown or faded. Even a mere boat shed needs to beauty of flowers for decorations. It feels more like home...although the beach goers will not notice the flowers as the warmer days get shorter and less often...

has to be a story!

Now I want to know the story! Very interesting placement - still in the wrapper? Maybe forgotten?

Intriguing! There must be a tragic love story here... (appeals to my operatic tastes! :-)

You may never know the "true" story of the roses, but you can certainly make one up--and what fun that would be!

sure smells like a story .. what do we think happened .. did someone give someone else those flowers and then discard them in a way that would hurt the giver?
