A Gentle View

It was time for our last day at school - last Friday - and time for a Christmas luncheon.
This is the zoomed view from Settlers Inn, South Cranbourne - at the entrance to the Mornington Peninsula.
(In the distance are the Dandenongs - mountains to the north east of Melbourne.)
The rain was lightly falling - hence the misty appearance - but our spirits celebrated the close of another era!

Closing an era
All the laughter and the tears
Fade in misty rain

Such a beautiful way to wind down the year! I do love the horses and what a peaceful scene! Lovely capture and words, Gemma, as always! Have a wonderful week!

It is an idyllic landscape and climate for me, which reminds me of my friends farm and home in Nelson Bay, NSW. They also have horses and i tried riding on the big white one! Why is that one covered with blanket while the others are not?

A pretty holiday table and now a pretty view. These horses are such wonderful animals. Beauties. I notice that one has a jacket on. When the owners put those coats on them here, I always enjoys taking pictures of them. This is a lovely landscape. genie

Enjoy your holidays after a long year of work.
Looking out at the rain while celebrating can make the festivities even more special. Hope everyone passed.

A restful, pastoral scene with which to end a busy school year, Gemma.
