At first the Peninsula Surf sign at Rye seems rather simple.
But the shape of the shop's roofline reflects the wave symbol on the sign!
Unusual sign
Roofline becomes a symbol

I hope someone was paid handsomely for thinking up this clever sign. :)
Good capture, Gemma! One wonders which came first the chicken or the egg, errrr... the idea of the sign or the idea for the shape of the building?
i really like clever designing.
I like the connection between the logo and the building. Clever architecture!
very clever.
though, at first glance, I thought the little wave on the Peninsula sign resembled a kangaroo.
I thought the same as Lesley - a kangaroo was what I first saw!! Then I saw the large wave on the building and it made sense. What a wonderful design!
It is a torrential downpour here and it’s very cold so I would love to be here. Such a pretty shot. I really like the roof of the building. genie
That's pretty cool! Good eye!
It's a good eye catcher to attract customers.
That's a very clever building -- perfect for the purpose and the simple sign is definitely all that's needed.
