A recent visit to Cranbourne Botanical Gardens revealed this sign by the roadside leading to the carpark.
Particular snakes include the copperhead and tiger snakes.
The entrance road has lots of tight scrub either side.
A little further along was this sign.
The bandicoot is mainly a nocturnal animal.
The rabbit-eared bandicoot is known as a bilby.

I love it that the signs are for the itty bitty critters as well as the large and famous ones too.
Although I think I'd stay out of the way of the snakes!
fabulous combo of photos and related info....I love to learn about other lands.....I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog award.....to learn how to receive, go to my blog, to 'archives', then click on Liebster award' (of course)
I love unusual traffic signs and these are fabulous!
It's nice that they post the caution signs. So many drivers here are always in a hurry that the wildlife don't stand a chance.
I *have* slowed down for rattlesnakes when we lived in Arizona. Even though I have valid reason not to like them, they are living creatures. I just prefer to stay out of their way, period.
Those are wonderful signs. Great find.
Interesting Slow Down signs which we don't see up here.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
How truly Australia -- love those signs. I didn't know about bandicoots. A lot of people would want to hurry up if they saw a snake -- just to get away!
these are wonderful signs. we don't have road signs like these here.

LoL.....I've enjoyed these signs - I love the Aussie considerations!
Gemma - you have so many blogs on the go! Wonderful! Methinks I'll be visiting the grammar one now and again....and again....and again......!
I'm sorry. But if I see a snake in the road? I'm gonna ride right over that sucker. AND - I might even have a smile on my face! ;)
As far as the other animals? Yeah - I'd brake for them!
wonderful .. i love these
Great signs. I haven't seen the first 2 before.
We have signs around here for turtle crossings, but I have never actually seen a turtle crossing. Disappointing!
