Bush Stone-Curlew

Bush stone-curlew - fairly common in northern Australia but endangered in Victoria and New South Wales
+ rare in South Australia .
This one was photographed at Moonlit Sanctuary, Pearcedale.
A number of endangered species are here.

Cute bush stone-curlew
Like exquisite mottled art
Like a small plover

Great photo. There are several places around here where they can usually be seen.

I have seen other birds of this lovely species. One in Camargue and oen in Costa Rica. They look almsot the same no matter the country. Strange because it is so far between them. Love your shot.
