Fisherman's Beach Entrance

A view of one entrance to Fisherman's Beach on Port Phillip Bay.
In 1896 The 'Shire of Mornington' appointed an 'Inspector of Nuisance'.
At Fisherman's Beach mixed bathing was considered to represent anti-social behaviour.
So curbing this social pestilence fell under the jurisdiction of the Inspector of Nuisance.
For more on the inspector's duties, see HERE!
