A view of Dromana beach looking toward the pier jutting out into Port Phillip Bay.
The pier was completed in 1872 and initially provided for the shipping of local produce to Melbourne markets.
Now it is a haven for walkers, fishermen and the occasional boat.

the little tents are great pops of bright color on the sand
The pier also adds some visual interest from the beach, for when one might bored with looking out on the horizon...
