A view of one entrance to Fisherman's Beach on Port Phillip Bay.
In 1896 The 'Shire of Mornington' appointed an 'Inspector of Nuisance'.
At Fisherman's Beach mixed bathing was considered to represent anti-social behaviour.
So curbing this social pestilence fell under the jurisdiction of the Inspector of Nuisance.

Great shot!
Happy Valentine to you!
That's an inviting path to the beach. Looks like you are enjoying a lovely summer day.
A great shot Gemma - one feels drawn to follow the path down onto the beach! Thanks for sharing.
