I Saw Mother Nature's Home

Shadowy corner of an old house at Tyabb near the Art and Craft Village.
Mother Nature seems to be working on taking possession.
The roof is a bed of leaves and twigs.

And here is the house!
The shadowy corner is tucked away on the right hand side.

And right next door is this house.
Mother Nature seems to be the owner right now.
She has claimed possession of the roof!

Nature's real estate
Nature's shadowy ventures
Nature's final claim

It reminds me a bit of the house I grew up in though mother did ask me to pull up the morning glories lest they take over the garden. Dad said we lived in a garden for mother had trees and vines everywhere.

I love your shadow shots, Gemma! What an interesting looking place and I love all the flowers growing over the house in the last shot! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!

I'm not sure what those trailing purple flowers are, but if they took over my home, I wouldn't complain! Lovely!

A SHADOW THE SIZE OF THE SUN

If I had a shadow the size of the sun,
I’m not sure how fast I’d be able to run,
Or if I could flee from its ravenous jaws,
While keeping away from its razor-sharp claws!

Shadows here and there

I'm sure those vines aren't doing that roof any good, but the flowers blooming on it are beautiful!!

Wonderful old morning glory scrambling up the walls and over the roof maybe even peeking through the cracks to say hello. I love it!

It is sad seeing a place just being neglected. At least, there is a pretty vine growing to enjoy as well as nice shadows.

I watched a program once about how long it would take for nature to take back all the cities we have built, once we are no longer here. I see a correlation with the roof in your picture

Beautiful shadow shots Gemma. Have a great weekend.

A lovely post. If those flowers are morning glories, they are not invasive and well worth growing against the house!

Neat shots - I love the flowers taking full possession of the roof in your last photo! The shadows in the first really give depth to the photo!
Hugs, Antonella :-)
P.S. I am also participating in SSS2, and I've created a free printable / digi with the shadow quote this week...
