Siapo

This art work by a Year 11 student at my school fascinates me.
It symbolises his heritage and beliefs.
Siapo, also known as tapa, is one of the oldest Samoan cultural art forms.
For centuries Siapo has been passed from generation to generation.
Even so, it has fast become a nearly extinct art form.

Keep old worlds alive
Walking with past and future
One world one culture
