Transporter Shadows

Shadows round the transporter at Point Nepean, Mornington Peninsula.
(The photo was taken in January 2012 - Australian summer time!)
The transporter is actually a tractor with open air carriages attached.
It travels round Point Nepean, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery of Port Phillip Bay and Bass Strait without trudging the hilly terrain.
It also stops at points of interest along the way - the old quarantine area and the defense buildings.
(But now it seems that from 24th April, 2012 it was replaced with a 22 seater mini bus!)

This looks like a fun way to be carted around.

Great shadow shot, Gemma! I do love your summery shadows -- even if it is nearly winter there!! Hope you're enjoying a lovely weekend!

Great shot! Love how the dapple shadows of the trees play on the bold shadows of the transporter.

Oh no, a bus doesn't seem nearly as much fun Gemma, but I guess it's more practical! Bet they won't get little kids looking so excited about a bus hey!

Unique transporter, too bad it was replaced. Obviously that lady isn't going to do any trudging up hills in that dress.
