Yes, perhaps that's a coast guard. A cool red one.
We see ships here quite regularly living on the ocean - hubby thinks it might be some kind of fuel ship since it apparently has pipes on the rear section...good catch!
What a nice capture ! red boats are quite scarce !
Over here, the US Coast Guard paints its vessels (including planes and helicopters) in the same shade of orange, I would guess for visibility. That the ship patrols to protect its citizens makes is a beautiful vessel indeed!

this reminds me of the time I was taking tons of shots of a boat I found interesting looking and was then approached by a police officer who wanted to know why I was taking pics of a Homeland Security boat
I showed him my pics and told him without my glasses I couldn't read the insignia
I felt like such a fool :)

Interesting looking ship....I love everything about the sea...even the mystery ships. And your Yellow world and your Westernport Bay shadows are stupendous.

A nice study looking working boat, painted red as well!
So many people, including myself, use the red color for ruby, a different kind of a red. Or, are we talking about a girl, here, I wonder!
