Lone Beach Umbrella

Beach umbrella alone on Dromana beach.
I was fascinated by the shadow because it seemed to "interpret" the umbrella shape!

Lonely belongings
Basking in sun and shadow
Clinging to summer

I'm guessing if it is as hot today as it was yesterday in Mornington Peninsula Gemma, your umbrella owner will be in having a dip already. Lovely summer image.

Great image, Gemma. It was a stinker of a day here in the City yesterday...

Oh where , oh where are the beach people?

I suppose the departure of summer is something we'd prefer not happen. So, the lone beach goer hangs onto the heat and sun for at least one more day. At least now the beach crowds have thinned considerably!

I would love to be at a beach in the sun or shadows.

The shadow reminds me of an anchor under water.

Love this shot, and yes indeed we are clinging to Summer here in the Southern Hemisphere.

A lovely shot.

Great capture! Yes, the ridges in the sand from the footprints of summer interpret the shadows and scallops the edges.

For me, there is nothing in this world better than time spent at the beach in the warm sun and reading...sitting in the shadow of the umbrella you've captured makes me want to grab a good book and go spend some time reading in that very spot!!!

Hope you've having a super Sunday!!
