Boatsheds on the Mornington Peninsula are often creatively coloured.
(Some - especially at St Kilda and Brighton, north of the peninsula but still on Port Phillip Bay - used to be bathing boxes in the early 20th century!)
Here is a selection at Blairgowrie on the southern end of the peninsula

I like your photo and haiku. Boatsheds? Bath houses? Colourful and bright.
Since you write haiku, you might want to check out Haiku my Heart Friday at http://corazon.typepad.com/ Rebecca writes a wonderful blog.
WOW!!! You have given me another view of these precious buildings. I want one even if I do not have a boat....it could be my tool shed. LOL Genie
The red on the one shed makes it stand out from all the others!
I’M FOND OF CERISE
For red my affection is great,
It’s puce and chartreuse that I hate.
I’m fond of cerise,
It makes a nice piece
Of clothing that looks just first-rate.

They must have gone through quite a lot of paint to get all those colours! But it would be an easy landmark!
They're wonderful. I was wondering if they bought different colours of siding when they found them at special sale prices.

Hi there - I like the boxes in the pictures - and I like them in real life as well.
Hope all is well along the Peninsula - the pictures on my blog were taken on the "other" peninsula across the bay!

I love boatsheds, they make me think of 'times gone by', another era!
I love this shot too!!
all the shadows are wonderful

Your boat shed is very special and different from its neighbours.
I'd like to think its owners are the same. Colourful people who like to make a difference to their environment.
The boat shed is so well kept like a rainbow among grey scales.
Makes me smile.
