wild seal resting...

sign warning of a resting seal nearby at Dromana beach...
An area has been roped off, but, last Sunday, there was no sign of the seal himself...
Perhaps he was busy out in his watery playground...
The seal has been around since last January...
(A view of the seal in his playground is at the bottom of this post HERE
and a close up is HERE)

Wouldn't it be great to see and watch it for a while from a distance.

Hope no dogs or people bother the seals. They look so great in the water.

Now that is a great sign!

Best to give a critter like that plenty of space!

Thanks for the warning.

Looks like that sign has the Seal of approval. About a month or so ago there was a Seal here in Launceston at the K-Mart car park. It had wandered quite a long way from the river. Another one was sunning itself on the West Tamar Highway next to the Tamar River just down the road from our place. We drove past & the police were there stopping cars as the RSPCA people tried to herd it off the highway & back into the river. It was comfy on the road & was reluctant to leave.
