inside a tunnel...


a view of inside one of the many tunnels at Point Nepean
on the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula and overlooking the entrance to Port Phillip Bay...
For awhile, Point Nepean was a military fort during World Wars I and II...
Some fortifications date back to the 1880's...

This particular spot looks like it dates back to the earliest part of the fort.

That's interesting to know. Though I'd been to Mornington Peninsula, day tour does not include even one tunnel though.
