life is strange...

I know... this scene looks rather odd...
Originally I intended to capture the passing boat on a trailer in Mornington's main street...
I  aimed the lens for a spot ahead of the boat and waited for it to cross the picture frame..
But circumstances had other ideas...
The boat - or at least, the car - suddenly picked up speed...
A woman suddenly emerged from a shop behind me and crossed the frame...
And the passing boat revealed a man on the other side of the street
who looked as if he was chasing the boat...
At first, I was going to delete the photo...
But then I noticed something else...
The boat cast a large shadow shape on the roadway...
How perfect for Shadow Shot Sunday 2...
So the photo lived to share...
(And how strange that the boat is called 'Reaper' - without the 'grim' thank goodness...)

accept
alternatives may just be
treasures

Unintended though it was, it does make for a good shot!

That's funny how photos sometimes work out like this. The man and woman add a symmetry to the photo.

Plans have a way of having their own way and we just have to roll with it. You did well finding a reason to save the shot.

Great action shot in the best traditions of street photography. I like it.

Indeed, alternatives can be treasures.
Love the way you explained the photo. Makes it fun and so in the moment!

That's why I never delete images from the camera. They all deserve a second look for the unexpected surprise.
