Mornington Peninsula Wine Centre

An enchanting little village shop at Red Hill South now prides itself as the place to buy a range of Mornington Peninsula wines.
It is called Mornington Peninsula Wine Centre.
Local produce and groceries are available here too as well as snacks and coffee.
The shop even has its own outdoor umbrellas.

Quarantine Shadows

This is one of 5 similar 2 storey hospital buildings at the Point Nepean Quarantine Station which was begun in 1854 and opened in 1859.
More details HERE.
The site is now just open for the curious wanderer.

Quarantine Spring Skies

Morning Spring skies over a part of the Point Nepean historic Quarantine area complex.
Opened in 1852, the quarantine station contains the oldest barracks-style accommodation built for quarantine purposes in Australia,
pre-dating the oldest intact quarantine structures at North Head, Sydney NSW, by 16 years.

Safety Beach Tunnel

Top of the road tunnel at Safety Beach.
The small tunnel goes under a channel into Port Phillip Bay.

The tunnel is quite artistic.

gentle colours...

Boat sheds at Mount Martha beach seem to favour more subdued tones than the bright and bold ones at Dromana.

Wattles are glowing all along the roadsides now that Spring is emerging.
This large one is on a winding Red Hill road.
