I'm Off!

Sulphur-crested cockatoos are beginning to wander closer to my world because the apples are just beginning to ripen.
Cockatoos love apples! A few chomps and they dump them!
Above is the flag pole near my verandah that they use for "spying"!

Super image Gemma....too bad they don't finish the apple completely. But nature has its own way.

Nice photo of the "cockie" just taking off. In my yard they try and drop passionfruit. They ruined most of the crop last year.

Great capture...
In my yard they just eat the nut things from the palm trees and fight with the rainbow lorikeets.

Nice picture - I assume the owners of the apples are less than please to see these arrive for a fruit snack!

Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.

It seems very unusual to me to see these birds in the wild. In the U.S. they are found in pet shops.

these birds are so incredibly gorgeous, and so, so smart....I am sure they have a surveillance team set up...It's wonderful to see cockatoos in the wild,,,i cannot see a caged bird without crying .....

O I love this one Gemma, I am yet to get a decent bird in flight shot! I know that they are a nuisance but they sure are good subjects for a picture!
