The native hibiscus may flower most of the year, but in Spring it seems especially fresh and beautiful! And just a hint of shadow on the petals!

What an exquisite capture, Gemma! Such a gorgeous flower and I love the color! I always love your words! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

It is a flower of stunning beauty, its mauve and white hues very accepting of shadows, as delicate as its subject. Happily, Spring awaits you down under. We have to wait six more months, ans we will welcome it with open arms :)
Beautiful flower and your photo, too.
Regards and best wishes
The light and shadow play on this bloom is lovely!

That is such a delicate shade of mauve, I would love this colour in my garden, beautiful shot Gemma.
The hibiscus is one of my favorite flowers and this is a gorgeous color.
Gemma, like you, I can't help but write my haiku inspired by my flowers. Your hibiscus is certainly a jewel!

we have lots of hibiscus here but i haven't seen this shade before. pretty.
I have seen lots and lots of hibiscus plants and blooms in my lifetime, but never have I seen one of this color. It is gorgeous. I would never have imagined a lavender bloom. This is definitely a memorable first for me. It is so inviting. Great photo. genie
There's something very restful about this color of this hibiscus. It seems to invite the beholder to slow down and think about the things that are truly important--flowers, for example!
MY SHADOWY FRIEND
My shadow and I are very best friends;
We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.
No matter the time of day or of night,
My shadow and I will always stick tight.
We don’t even think of drifting apart,
For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.
To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.
