 Musing on a spring morning, just being still, and dreaming
through leaves of a large tree, can be needed light for the soul...
I have spent many hours of many days working on end of year marking and reports...
(School demands are getting significantly worse..)
My blogs have been sorely neglected...
A little dreaming here and there and a little reading have broken the vicious cycle...
There has been little time to go wandering with my camera...

But that time will come...

it is so lovely to see a Spring weekend blossom into sunshine and shadows...
at least for now...

if the beach is empty...

You know it must be winter if the beach is empty and the seas are wild...
This morning I took a brief, few photos of the beach and seas in Dromana
and then scurried back to the relative warmth of the shopping centre carpark and my car...
I felt I was breathing icy, stormy air down on the beach, but I had to grab a few desperate photos...

This was my view from my verandah early this morning...
After hearing many sirens, a helicopter flew overhead...
I did some Google search
and found that there was a major collision at McCrae
on the nearby Mornington Peninsula freeway...
All southbound lanes were closed...



No...
I am not going to launch into a report on the accident details...
Rather, I suddenly felt that this moment put my ongoing health woes into perspective...

I am close to getting my life back...

P.S. The accident drew a news helicopter as well...

This morning, on the way home from yet another doctor's appointment...
I decided to stop by the Hillview Community Reserve wetlands in Dromana...
It was too lovely a winter's day to let slide by...
Above is the entrance to the reserve from the small carpark...
The wetlands are just beyond to the right...

autumn leaves have almost passed by in my garden...

Yes... It has been awhile since I last posted...

first - ongoing treatment of an abcess-like formation on my ankle...but still going to school...
(ankle elevated at weekends, just to be able to get around at school on Monday)
second - flu...but still going to school...
third - back injury from too much computer-time getting school reports finalised on a weekend
and requiring the last week of school term at home because I could barely move...

Being out and about to take photos seems like a distant memory...

But the ankle is almost healed - after many weeks...
flu gone...
Back finally improving, and I can move more freely...
(Reports and exam-marking all done on time... yeah...)
There is hope...
Perhaps next week - school holiday time - I can get out to take photos...

I can't believe it was at this time 2 years ago,
Rosebud pier was getting a long anticipated make-over...
Even a couple of seagulls seemed to be taking a passing interest...

For a little longer, I have to delve into my archives for photos here...
I have an abcess - horribly painful - like an intrusion - on my ankle bone
and I'm supposed to keep off my foot...
This has been going on for many weeks...
Love seeing the doctor twice a week to get it dressed after school hours...very entertaining...
But I can only stay off the foot at weekends... Impossible as a teacher during the week...
So my photo collection is feeling rather frozen at the moment...
Little opportunity to get out PLUS it's stressful report time and marking...

Did I mention I have flu as well?

I'm sure all this excitement will pass eventually and life will level out into some kind of routine...

Meanwhile...

Sighhhhhhhhhh....

Not often do I indulge in a sad post, but this is to be one of those rare occasions...
You may have noticed I have not been posting here for about a week...
But I have been drowning in mid year report writing and marking for secondary students...
